Subject: Re: save question
Errors-To: icon-group-errors@cs.arizona.edu
The save() function only worked on a few systems and is no longer
available.
You could install your own copy of iconx in your directory on the
central server pending an official installation. Your students could
then set an ICONX environment variable naming that file, and then
their Icon executables would run.
The only way to get a true, stand-alone executable is to use the Icon
compiler, iconc. That's usually infeasible for programs that use
the graphics library due to the size of the library and the time it
takes to compile.
