  9. The save() function only worked on a few systems and is no longer
  10. available.

  12. You could install your own copy of iconx in your directory on the
  13. central server pending an official installation.  Your students could
  14. then set an ICONX environment variable naming that file, and then
  15. their Icon executables would run.
  16.  
  17. The only way to get a true, stand-alone executable is to use the Icon
  18. compiler, iconc.  That's usually infeasible for programs that use
  19. the graphics library due to the size of the library and the time it
  20. takes to compile.
